Cannot uninstall Music Match

I'm using Win XP (pro edition) and I need some help removing a previous installation of Music Match. I tried doing this via the add remove programs dialogue, but it doesn't seem to work. The message I'm getting is: "…/uninst.isu is not valid or the data has been corrupted. Uninstallation will not continue."
Any ideas?

According to their FAQ (http://wwws.musicmatch.com/faq/PLUG033.htm), you'll need to disable it form the background first before proceeding with the uninstallation. The easiest way to do this would be to just start Windows in Safe Mode, and then go to the control panel -> add/remove programs, etc. (the same way you tried before).
