I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird as my mail client at home, but at work I'm stuck with Outlook Express. I have two e-mail accounts there, but OE won't let me store the usernames and passwords for either of the two. It prompts me to enter the data each time I try checking the mail, and there's a checkbox next to "save password" but it's empty and grayed out, so I can't check it.
Any ideas on how to fix this? TIA.

These things sometimes happen, you'll have to edit your permissions in the registry. If you've never used regedit before, see if you can get someone else to perform this for you. If you're comfortable with it, follow these instructions:
Go to Start, Run, type "regedit32". Then go to this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftProtectedStorageSystemProvider
Form there, go to Edit, Permissions, and make sure that the "Read and Full Control" permissions values are set to Allow.
Restart the computer, run OE, and re-enter your passwords. You should be able to save them now.
