I have two computers in my home network. Canon Pixma i1500 is attached on one computer. I had an idea to use it as a shared printer. I have shared it and gave permissions, but I am unable to print from another computer. I can see that printer in my network places but I am not getting it as an option to print to in any program on this computer. Like it does not exist. What should I do?
You have not installed printer on another computer. Go to control panel Printer and faxes and install new printer. When wizard comes to part were it asks you if printer I locally attached or if it is network printer choose another option. Then browse directory while you dont find it and then select it. Install drivers and you are ready to go. Now all programs will see it as default printer.
