Hello, everyone. Here's the deal: I'm on XP, and I can't establish an internet connection because, and I quote, "BT Broadband Basic could not find a BT Broadband networking entry. The programme will now exit." So I try to find it on the install CD, except the package won't install – it starts up normally, and then breaks mid-way and says something about not being able to read this file or that … what am I doing wrong here?

Well, the most obvious thing that comes to mind would be a malfunctioning install disc. I'm not sure how it works for you guys over there, but can't you just call someone and ask for a replacement? I assume they provide that kind of support at least. Also, have you tried setting up a connection without all the ISP-provided software? If you haven't, it may be worth a shot – just uninstall everything they gave you and use the default Network Wizard for Win XP to set it all up.
