Cannot install AV software on XP

I have one difficulty and I hope tat you will able to help me with it. I am aware that there are a lot of dangerous things on the internet. So, I have to have some kind of protection. I tried to install some but I have problem-I Cannot install AV software on XP. Can someone advice me what to do?

That is really strange thing to happen. First, how did you get that installation. Is it from net? Maybe the file is damaged or it is corrupted. You should try with some other installation. Other thing. Do you have some AV program already. It is not good to have different AV programs installed in the same time. It can make your system crash or acts very slow. So, I advice you to try with some other installation. If you have some AV uninstall it first, or don install a new one. From this point of view I dont know what else to advice you.
