Hi all! When I visit some sites, they tell me where I came from! They often tell me the town, not just the country! This annoys me a lot, can it be removed? A friend told me that removing or hiding ISP address would solve this, but he said he thinks it’s illegal to do. How can I hide ISP address and is it safe to do so?

Actually, it’s not an ISP, it’s an IP address (Internet Protocol). It contains info about your ISP, and therefore, ISP’s location. This IP address cannot be completely hidden, but it can be masked with some proxy. Go to www.proxy4free.com, pick a proxy and enter it in proxy settings in your browser. You’ll be amazed to see that your location changes to USA, Mexico, China, Romania, or whatever country you pick.
