I have problem with AIM. I can chat regularly, but I am not able to send files to my friends. I have tried everything I knew but I had no luck. Also, I have searched through internet but found nothing that would suggest me some solution to my problem. Worse thing is that my friend can send files. Do you know something that could help me?

I am guessing that you are behind NAT. This behavior is typical for AIM behind NAT because AIM is not very NAT friendly. If you are able to configure NAT and forward ports then this is a way to go. If you are not able to do this (and I guess you are not) then only option you have is to change instant messaging client. I would suggest you to try Trillian which supports AIM protocol.
