This is a strange situation with Outlook. When I click on link in email I receive following error: “This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.” I do not know why this is happening because I am administrator on this computer and I can not remember that I have placed any restrictions like this. Can you help me to figure out why I can't open links from email client?
Hi there. This is a known issue with Outlook. You can't open links from email client because the following registry key is either missing or corrupt:”HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Classes\htmlfile\shell\open\command” after upgrade to IE6. To fix this you will have to reset Web settings in IE 6: Open IE, go to Tools menu and click Internet Options. Click the Programs tab and then Reset Web Settings button. Also, select the “Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser” check box. Click “Apply” button and then “OK” button. This should do the trick.
