| Maybe you will think that I am crazy after you hear my question. But, lets get from the beginning. I have external hard drive and I am trying to figure how I can install XP OS on it and boot it from there as primary and only storage. I went to Microsoft site and there I have read that is not possible. I want to ask you have you, maybe, heard is someone done this and how? |

| Microsoft said, also, that anyone cant crack Vista, and someone that did. Same is for external hard and win XP OS. It is possible and many people done that. First your computer has to supports booting from usb device. Then you should make iso file from installation XP cd. Then extract the files txtsetup.sif, dosnet.inf, usb.in, usbport.in and usbstor.in; then unpack IN_ files, then edit them all; then repack them (inf files) to original IN format and plug into iso; burn iso; boot cd (but before that, take out all hard disks) and simply install XP. |
