Can't access website using IP Address

We used to be able to, but it's not working now. The strange thing is, other users can access the site normally, just by typing in the address. For us, here on the LAN, typing in the IP address doesn't work any better than clicking the link – we just get the Firefox equivalent of a 404 page. Any ideas as to what's going on here?

Let's tackle the obvious first. Have you changed hosting services recently? It's possible that your host has assigned different IP, or just handles them differently in some way, which prevents you from reaching the site that way. External users can reach it because their "text address" queries are automatically translated to the right IP address … Just a thought.
