Can't access mic controls!

Hello! Does anyone can explain me something. I am using Windows XP Sp2 OS. My computer is AMD 3200+. The problem is next kind. I am trying to power on mic on the computer. But it doesn’t work. I still can’t access mic controls. Does anybody have some idea? Thanks for your reply.

Hi! Let me see what kind of problem you have. So you would like to solve that. I will try to give you the best from my experience. You can’t access mic controls. Did you try to open in sound icon mic? You need to enable your mic if you want to use it. That is very important to do.
