Can't Install Canon PIXMA ip4300 on Win2000 Pro

Hello! I am having problem with my Canon PIXMA ip4300 and installing process. I have Win2000 Pro OS and that in combo with my printer obviously not working well. None of 2 options that I have tried (through canon and through administrative tool setup) are allowing me to finish the installing action properly and with success. So I have no idea what to do here, obviously my photos wont be printed unless I get some help from here, so please do!

Hi! Hm, that is strange if you are pretty certain that all the things are connected the right way. I am guessing you are getting those annoying messages that printer cant be found and path not valid, I have been through that with my old printer. Driver was a mess, needed update and causing the problem, but in your case I am not sure is that an option at all. Well I am not planning to play smart one and say that OS change could fix the problem because actually I am not sure it would, so dont take my suggestions seriously. I guess I am just thinking out-typed, heh.
