I can’t disable onboard sound card, and it is creating me problems. My windows is not working perfectly because of this, and I do not know how can I turn it off. I bought a new sound card, and put it in. then, when I try to disable that onboard thing, it is just not responding. I do not what to do. Would anybody help me with this? I will appreciate any help.

That is quite strange thing. When you insert a sound card into the slot, and boot the system up, that onboard should deactivate itself. You should not do anything to it. Somehow, the drivers are not working well, so you cannot disable it. Onboard card are just always a pain in the behind, because they are not too good, and they create problems when somebody tries to upgrade the computer. There are several things you can do, but I cannot guarantee you the success. There are several sites that you can visit, and find the solution.

That is indeed quite strange. I have a motherboard with integrated sound card, but when I inserted the PCI card, everything was fine. The thing I did is to uninstall the driver first, and then I put in the new sound card. I would recommend you to do the same, because the old drivers are powering up the sound chip on your board. That is why you have some problems with it now. Onboard chips are not good for anything serious, so you should stay ways from them. If you still have problems, then I would recommend you to reinstall the operating system.
