I have Toshiba Satellite 2800 laptop and I would like to upgrade system to Windows XP Professional. I do not know if this move will be wise because this laptop is quite old and I am not sure if Windows XP work fine on it. So, I would like to hear your opinion about this problem.

If I am correct, Toshiba Satellite 2800 has Intel Celeron 700 processor, 128MB RAM, 20GB hard drive and 8MB Savage IX video card. Looking at this specification the answer is yes, you can upgrade to Windows XP. But the question is how Windows XP will perform on this laptop, especially if you install Service Pack 2. If I were you I would not do an upgrade.
