Can I run Windows software on my iBook G4?

I have got iBook G4 as a present. I have no prior experience with Macintosh computers. Its a nice system, stable and all but there are some applications on Windows I got used to and now have a hard time to find something appropriate on Mac. It would be wonderful if I could use Windows applications on iBook. Is it possible?

I have to disappoint you because I dont think it is possible. iBook G4 has a PPC processor while Windows works on Intel x86 processor architecture. They are very different and, beside different operative systems, are major obstacles in running Windows applications. You could always try some emulation software or virtual machines like Parallels for Mac but, as far as I know, they work only on Intel based Macintoshes.
