Hello. I am having a serious problem with my PC. When I start few applications at once, or play some newer game, my PC blocks or restarts. My friend told me to check the CPU temperature in BIOS when the problem occurs again, and so I did. The CPU temperature was around 70 degrees at the time I checked, and though I am not a professional I can tell it is too much. My processor is AMD XP 2000. What shall I do?

Well AMD processors are in general hotter than INTEL, and they can function up to 80 degrees. I also have AMD processor and its working temperature is always around 50 degrees, while INTEL processors work at 30. I suggest you to check your fan and your cooler, because it may not be functioning well. If that doesnt help, you can install an extra fan in your PC, I guess that will lower temperature for at least few degrees. But, if that doesnt help either try lowering the frequency your processor works at. It might slow it down, but it will at least be stable. All the things I said you should try you may try yourself, but I would suggest you contacting some professional.
