CPU fan stops and starts! Normal?

Hello! I have very strange problem. When I boot my computer my cooler works fine, but after some time it just stop, and after some time it works again. My school friend told me that this is normal, but I doubt in that. So, I want ask you is this normal feature for processors cooler? I really need urgent reply!

Hello! Do not listen your friend! It is not normal that CPU fan stops and starts! It should always works. You maybe have problem with overheating. Check that. Also, I do not suggest you to use your computer until you buy new cooler for your CPU. I hope that my answer was urgent one!
