COMPAQ DVD-ROM GD-8000 Not recognizing DVDs

Well I am greeting you with hello and huh. Sad

I am right now not so happy owner of COMPAQ DVD-ROM GD-8000. From yesterday that thing is causing me nothing but trouble. All of sudden it decided to disobey my order to play DVDs?! Another AI that have learned how to think and decided not to be under my command anymore! It is no longer recognizing DVDs .Why is this happening? Any ideas how to fix it?

Greeting with heh from me! I sometimes wonder after many complains on printers, scanners donâ€™t know what more, why people stick with Compaq products?! I will be happy if someone explains me that. Back to you ïŠ. Actually many things can be the reason of your current problem. From being full of dust to worst nightmare - laser failing. I hope thatâ€™s not the case. Are you using the same player? Could try to switch or reinstall the player software. Missing driver- or need update? This is just list of guessing.
