| I have recently tried to burn some audio CDs. I have been making a compilation for my friends. However, I got several error messages from a CD writer about my disk not being blank. On the other hand, when it put it in my CD writer, there is nothing to be read. Could anyone help me solve the problem? Thanks in advance. |

| When you have such error messages, only one of two things (or maybe both) can be a problem - either your disk is inadequate, or your writer has started malfunctioning. The problem with the CD might be that it is actually not blank, but system cannot read it since it is scratched. Also, it may be damaged and blank, in which case you would also get such messages. On the other hand, when CD writer get old, it slowly stops reading various CDs. It may be the case that your disk is not empty, but the writer can not read it properly from Windows, although when you try to put data on it, writer recognizes it is not blank. Try with different disks, and then try on a different writer. Hope this helps. |
