CD R/RW not recognized

I have bought new ASUS CD R/RW. I have connected everything and powered up computer but Windows is not recognizing it. CD R/RW is working and I can see LED light and open/close device. After reboot I have noticed that even BIOS is not recognizing it. I really need help with this problem. Thank you for your help.

It looks like you have set jumpers in the wrong way. If you have some other device on the same IDE cable as this CD then you should check its jumper settings. If both devices are set as master or as slave then one of the devices will not be recognized. Just set jumpers correctly and your CD device will be recognized.
