I have been having a CD-RW drive for quite some time. However, several days ago, I wanted to burn some CD. However, I simply could not do it. Even though it could read any disk, it kept sending me error messages and I wasted 4 blank disks. Were they the problem, or my burner? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

CD drives, CD-RW, DVD and other similar components are expendable and they get old pretty quickly. If you are lucky they will last around a year or so, but eventually they will come to an end. The fact they are near its end will first show up on their inability to write anything, as it takes more work to write than to read disks. That is why you will most certainly need a new drive. It is certainly not the disks. If they were the problem, you could never read them, anyway. Buy some more dependable like Pioneer or Plextor. Best of luck.
