CD Burning issue on my Armada

My Compaq Armada has CD Burning issue. When I insert blank CD media burner does not recognize it as a blank CD and I have no option available for burning CDs. It can read CD well. I use NERO burning ROM for burning tasks for a long time and I am sure I have not messed something in its settings. Can you tell why I can not burn blank disc?

This burning issue with Armada means that your CD burner is dead and you should replace it. You have an option to call Compaq customer support and let them change CD burner for you but this is the most expensive way. Better way is to buy new CD burner and install it by your own or to buy some external CD burner which will save you from trouble of disassembling laptop.
