Hello! I have very strange problem. I have installed my new CDRW and my Windows XP Pro SP2 operating system did not detect it. I cannot see this drive in my device Manager. My friend thinks that my CDRW is not supported regard the fact it is connected to motherboard with SATA cable, but I really doubt in that. This is my only SATA device.

Hello! It seems to me that your friend is probably right. Have you installed SATA drivers in your Win XP Pro? Your operating system has not natively SATA drivers because it is older then SATA devices. So, you will need to install SATA drivers first if you want to use your CDRW as SATA drive.
