You can never be 100 relied on computers I think. I want to discuss about possible solvable problems regarding CD-RW drives. For example, my MSI CD-RW reads disks well, but never from the first time. You put a CD in it and that it blinks for a while, after that nothing happens. When I eject and put back cd inside right after, the contents of a cd followed by auto-play are displayed. I suppose that I am not the only one who suffers from the same thing.

You are talking about CD-RW, well is there any new one to buy somewhere, I mean, why should you bother with these, when the new DVD-RW drives are cheap? Never mind, the problem with your CD-RW could be in optical calibration. Did you used pull it out of the case? If you shake it in your hands often, after some time, it could result just as you described. Now, my proposal is not to bother with it anymore. You can clean the lens, but much less headache you will have with buying the proper DVD-RW brand. You can read anything, and burn anything with DVD RW, dont forget that.
