I've been using the same PC almost two years now. However, in the last three months I noticed something strange. Whenever I worked for a little longer, I got a strange sound from my case and a burning smell comes out of my PC. I discovered that in those moments my case fan spins 9200 RPM. What is wrong?

Burning smell with combination of increasing the case fun speed could be caused by three possible reasons. First, check your processor temperature in BIOS. If processor temperature is over 60 degrees, it increases the temperature inside the computer. That is why case fun is increasing its speed to try to reduce the temperature of the whole system. In that case, you should clean the your procesoor cooler. Before you return cooler on its place, do not forget to put heat sink. Other reason for your problem could be in unstable voltage power from your PSU. You can check te voltages that your PSU gives in your BIOS. In that case, you have to change your PSU. Third reason is the most painful one. It means that probably your motherboard is damage.
