Greetings. I have few basic questions regarding DVD burning. There are even 16X speed burning capable DVD burners. Maybe even faster than this. There are 16 X capable DVD mediums. So far I never tried to burn anything at the maximum possible speed, because I heard that it might be risky, without any particular explanation. Well, is this true or not? Thanks in advance.

Risky for what? For a blank DVD? You can always afford for blank DVD, they are not expensive, so I think that “risky” is way too pumped word for that. Usually, when you are burning DVD movie at the max speed, later on, that particular DVD can cause problems with other DVD burners. It might become unreadable, while that is not the case if we take some regular DVD player device into consideration. They can read almost everything, and have no problems with the burning speeds.
