Hello, total computer newbie, in need of some advice. Don't laugh to hard if I make some mistake. I was following some online tutorial on how to resolve a situation with some of my drives not being detected (properly or at all), and I found out I need to edit my booting sequence to test something. I even know how to edit it, as in, what order to put it in, it's just that … well, I have no idea where to go to edit it. What's the locatiuon of this boot.ini file that I need to edit? Is it attributed as hidden, or what?

Wow … serious misunderstanding there. First off, you do not alter the boot sequence by editing the boot.ini file. That file is just for loading the OS, and has nothing to do with your basic hardware. You can set the boot sequence in your BIOS setup – to access that, press "Del" while your machine is beginning to boot up. Hope that clears out some of the confusion. If I were you, I'd re-read that FAQ/tutorial a couple more times.
