Hello, all. I'm a novice computer user, and I've been trying to educate myself through some online tutorials. One of them mentioned that I need to have a boot disk created on a floppy diskette at all times, as a precaution. Unfortunately, it just mentioned this as a side note, and doesn't give detailed instructions on how to do this. I've checked the help file and it doesn't mention any thing called "boot disc". Could someone with more experience guide me through this? Thanks a lot.

Sure, no prob. I'll just go ahead and assume you're using Win XP here. In XP it's easier than in earlier versions like Win 98. Just insert an empty floppy into drive A (it doesn't really have to be empty, though, but make sure it's n\got nothing important on it). Now, from either My Computer or Windows Explorer/Commander, whichever you're using, right-click drive A and choose "Format". In the format dialogue, choose the option called "create MS-DOS startup disk". It should keep going on its own form here.
