I have a PC for last two years. However, now I want to change my hard drive for bigger one and I do not want to lose my data and partition. A friend told me that I should use Norton ghost for that. He told me that software allows users to copy complete content from one hard drive to another. Is Norton ghost best way to clone an hdd?

I think you should think twice about using a Norton ghost. That program could easily scramble your data so bad that you may loose everything on your hard drive. If you insist on using it, you should at least find somebody that have some experience in working with Norton ghost and ask him to explain you how to properly and safely use it. Norton ghost may help you in moving complete content of hard drive from one HDD to another. However, I don't think you should copy complete content of your drive from one drive to another like that. I don't think it would work fine enough lately. I think you should first make the same partitions on your new hard drive and then copy your data from old hard drive on new one.
