Are there freeware utilities for this? I've done a little web searching, but couldn't find one. If someone could provide a link, I'd be grateful. Also, does this kind of software require a particularly strong system? I'm on a 2.3 GHz machine with 512 MB RAM, running Windows XP. Thanks for any help;

If you're running Windows XP, you've already got a utility that does that. It's imaginatively called "Remote Desktop". Other than that, you may want to try VNC (go to realvnc.com, or tightvnc.com); that one is a bit hard on system resources, but it's a great program nonetheless.
