I cannot burn cds with 32x speed, although there is a 48x sign on them. Is there a possibility that my system is actually the problem? Because my cd burner supports 32x speed, and it obviously not working. I bought it 2 years ago, so maybe its just too old. Software that I am using is Nero. Version is 6.0 and it supports different speeds, from 4x to 52x. I was wondering if I could check my drive with some special Nero program. Thanks for your help!

There is a program for that. Go to nero and see for the option examine my drive. Lunch it and is the report. What does it say? It could say something like, you need new driver version. There is a support center on their site. There is a Q&A sections which allows you to search for your problem. I believe that your problem is common in that kind of documents. Did you look in your manual? There is a section troubleshooting which explains you everything. From hardware errors like damaged laser to software errors like yours. I believe that its a software error, I am not sure. Consider buying a new drive because they are so cheap nowadays. Cheers!
