| Hello there. Here is my situation before several days. I have backed up my system with the Norton Ghost. Just because I am a skeptic and I dont believe in any antivirus or firewall software, I have used to restore my image from time to time. The last time I was trying to restore my configuration, the error occurred and everything was blown away. Because of unknown reason, during restore operation, Ghost has asked me for the second Image part, which I didnt had. I never created multiply archive with Ghost! I had to perform new clean install. Right now, I want a substitute for the Ghost. Also some advice, which one? Thanks in advance. |

| Hi. There are a lot of people using Acronis. Me too, by the way. Acronis is doing back up procedure without any restart or any other version of DOS. It is doing everything from the Windows it self. If your machine is strong enough to handle everything, than you can even watch a certain movie while you are backing up your system partition. It also supports much, much better compression ratio than the Ghost do. Also, there is support for SATA drives, which isnt included inside the Norton Ghost. Yes, Acronis truly works. There is no doubt. |
