Hello there. I am using Dual Boot system for a very long time. And so far I have never faced my self with any problem. XP is running fine just as Windows 2000 does too. Therefore I made a decision to create a backup. But how? I know how to create the backup of the system, but I never did that with the dual boot. Should I compress the whole hard drive, both partitions, or there is no need to do that? Thanks in advance.

Hi. I can see that you have one operating system on one partition and the other on the second hard drive partition, which is good, because some people are installing two different operating systems on the same partition, and after that they are facing with the OS stability issues. Just create ‘ordinary’ backup of the entire XP partition with your favorite program, and that’s it. Don’t bother your self with the boot loader question after. What is going to be with the Windows 2000 choice. It can be easily deleted or edited when you decide to restore your image back some day.
