I think that I have ghosts in my computer! Sometimes I get vanish icons on my desktop, sometimes get runtime errors in e-mail client, my sent items folder is full of mails I never sent & other crazy things. My friend has similar problems. What we should do? Is this some hardware problem (CPU, memory...)

Except in spooky movies, I have never seen a ghost. I think, if is out there some of them, they will exist in some old castle, not in your computer for sure.
So, Im sure that you have a Trojan or worm on your PC (if you recently sent email to your friend and, now, he has a same problem, thats Trojan). Trojan horse program is able to open backdoor and allow to owner of this program to have access to, in your case, your computer. That could be very dangerous, because attacker is able to stole your informations & documents, or erase it. Also he can use your emails to get into computers of people which are in your address book.
Antivirus eill not help you to remove this program. You should get some anti Trojan program. When you get it & remove it, put anti Trojan shield on & you will be protect in the future, Also, tell this to your friend, too.
