Help me out! BIOS won’t detect a full 180 GB HDD that I’ve just bought. I can’t even install Windows on it. I’ve installed it myself as I usually install all my hardware, so I don’t think that I could cause a problem. Can you tell me what could be the solution to this problem and how to fix it? It’s pretty urgent.

Despite the fact that you’ve said you know how to install hardware, I suspect that this causes the problem. Instead of meddling around yourself, you should bring your PC to the store you’ve bought the HDD at and explain everything so that they can install it for you. They will know whether something else is wrong and whether the HDD is maybe broken. I just don’t know why you’ve decided to install it on your own, because sometimes your warranty is not valid any more if you have done something with the HDD. That’s why it is better to have your hardware installed by professionals. I hope that nothing is too serious with your HDD and that maybe it is only that it’s not well plugged.
