Can you tell me how to do something about the fact that when I create a playlist the playback is in alphabetical order. This is irritating since I always know what the next song will be. The same goes for videos and I’d like to change it somehow. Is there a way to do that or will I have to start using some other player?

There is nothing to worry about. All you should do is find settings in your WMP and adjust it to shuffle option. That will definitely mix the songs and videos up and they will always go in different order. It’s strange that you haven’t heard about that option. You can adjust it in each media player, so don’t switch to any other because you’ll have to do the same in each of them. So, it’s not any big problem and sometimes it’s quite useful to read help menu for each program you’re not sure how to use or how to change settings. It’s the best way to learn how to use it properly.
