I need some help with my new audio card. I downloaded the latest audio driver update from the Internet. I have XP installed on my computer for a while and everything worked fine until that. When I tried to install downloaded driver I get an error message. Now I have audio recording problem. My recorded sound is scratchy. What is wrong?

You obviously have a problem with your new audio driver update. There are three reasons that could cause problem like yours. First, it could be an error in the process of downloading. If that is so, your audio driver update file might is damaged. You should try to download it once more and than try to install it one more time. There is a possibility that you may not have a proper version of operating system installed on your computer. Your version of driver may be for some other operating system like Windows Vista. In that case, you have to find and download a proper version for XP. Maybe your driver update needs some service pack to be installed first.
