Hi there. I have obtained Nvidia Nforce based motherboard with integrated raid controller. I also have two identical hard drives. As you can see by now, there is no doubt that I want to create RAID array system. Just because I never did that before, and because I have heard about dramatic speed improvements with RAID system. I do know how to connect them, but what comes after that? Do I need some special drivers after? Thanks in advance.

Hello. Considering your described chipset, yes you do need two different drivers. One is Nvidia RAID class driver and the other one is nFOrce controller storage driver. You can call them special, because there is only one way to install them properly under M$ platform. When you set the raid inside BIOS, during install, you need to press F6 key when prompted (follow and read on the bottom white bar about current windows activity during install), then on already prepared and formatted floppy drive, install these two. After that you are ready to continue on the regular basis.
