Greetings, everyone. I was beginning to think that antivirus programs are more and more obsolete. Just take a look at number of anti-spyware and similar software that you can use. And where are viruses? Only trojans and its brothers are available on the menu. And which firewall today doesnt recognize possible threat or hack attack? If there is no permission to enter, than what bad can be expected? Do you people understand what I am trying to ask? Thanks. Post your opinions.

Very, very good question I must say. Better to prevent, instead of curing it. I agree with that old speech. But, there is always but. And I must say that I dont agree with you. Zone Alarm Pro cant be just enough. There are programs like uTorrent that require to be on a firewall exception list. Otherwise, cant work. And that is file sharing in some sort of way. Firewall must allow certain programs to use some ports. So, there is still chance for infection if something goes trough, right? Thats why I think you should have both installed. Thats well configured firewall, and off course, good old Nod32.
