During boot process date and time settings are lost and I experience some other weird problems (I have to go in BIOS to set properly date and time). On the top of that I get message about CMOS battery error? What that could be? Could I fix it alone, or I have to find an expert and pay him/her?

Well, it looks to me like your Backup battery is dead. That battery is used to preserve some of computer settings (like date and time info for instance) while it is turned off. All you have to do is to buy a new one and replace the old. You can find that battery in most consumer electronics and/or computer shops. Replacing procedure is fairly simple. Locate the battery on logic board plug it out and put the new one in. Of course, dont forget to disconnect computer from power supply. If you cant locate it, than consult your manual and find it on the logic board diagram.
