I found this one article at intelliot.com (lliot.com/blog/archives/2004/03/18/apache-vs-iis/), and I like how it illustrates differences between the approaches behind the platforms (proprietary vs. open source). I'm not that keen on all the Microsoft bashing on private blogs, but the way this is laid out it makes sense and more importantly sounds understandable to a great range of potential readers. What do you guys think?

A wee bit biased, isn't it? Not to mention more than 2 years old, that one. In the end, it all comes down to balancing the two points of end-luser paranoia, the one keeping you away from terrible confusing roguish dangerous open source solutions, and the one keeping you away from vicious monopolist corporate bastards. Both viewpoints are misleading in their own ways, and flaming commentaries against M$ are not the right counterargument against strong marketing.
