| Hi there. I am wondering are there any interesting things, good to know regarding better security, when using P2P technology? Which software is risky and which isn't? What should I consider about getting things done safely, and so on? What alternative is the best and is there some? Thanks to all willing to say something interesting. |

Well, if we must say that every firewall is making interrupts and alarms about direct connect, than you can guess that the risk of getting hacked or abused is high. FTP like HTTP transfer are the most secured today. And no matter which P2P software you are using, you must have some kind of trojan that tracks down entire protocol, and also allows you to achieve transfer. There is no such security, that will make your PC completely free of threats. Oh, avoid Kazaa in any way. Or install Kazaa, but back-up your entire system before install. |
