Antivirus slow scan

Hello. I am using Kaspersky AntiVirus for a very long time. I have upgraded from version 6 to version 7 and started a full system scan. The problem is that scan is extremely slow. It is scanning for several hours now and it finished only 30% of the task. I have 80GB hard drive and previously whole scan was done in less then hour. Do you know what the problem here is?

The cause of slow scanning with Kaspersky AntiVirus might be your update. You should remove AntiVirus 6 and AntiVirus 7 by using Kaspersky removal tool (this tool can be found on their web site) and then perform a clean install of version 7. This should speed up your scans significantly. Hope I have helped you.
