Hello. I could use a recommendation for a good anti-spyware program. I already have one but it’s not always good enough, I mean there are still some things that I think might be because of spyware. And I heard it is recommended to have a few of it, just in case. Can you give me some advice?

Well, I think it certainly is a good practice to scan your system on spyware with more than one application, since no one of these is 100% sure to detect and remove everything and give you absolute protection. It is a very crowdie on anty-spyware market and not all the ratings you can find at web reviews favors the same products. It’s hard to give a good advice on this subject, so I will pass you some of my web research on this subject. There are some names that are repeated as top score ratings on few web sites. These are Spy Sweeper (8 million downloads), Counter Spy, Spyware Doctor (19million downloads), Aluria Antispyware, AdAware SE (160 million downloads), Spybot (67million downloads) McAffe Spyware (included in Internet Security Suite) and some more. Prices are somewhere between 25$ and 40$ and there are some quality free-of-charge solutions such as Spybot Search & Destroy. Ad-aware is by far the most popular program and a free version works almost as well as their paid version. Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware is fairly new and it seams that has a very good rating. The choice you are about to make depends of many things, such as your PC configuration, the way you are using internet, the amount of money you are ready to pay and else. I guess it is a good idea to review some details about what meet your requirements that are available on various web sites.
