Im interested in buying a good antivirus program for home usage. Till now I was using Norton but its slowing down my computer dramatically and I became tired of it.
I need a good protection that can also protect me from mail infections. In my experience with viruses this is most dangerous kind I ever had. Also I need fast scanning of the whole computer and memory. And scanning of files and folders while they are being copied to one place to another is preferred option.

Im using NOD32 for a few months and I can say that it served me very well. No virus infection was detected during that time and I got just few virus warnings. All this warning I would classify as low level. And Im also using a good firewall and spyware applications. Nod32 has all function that you need integrated and you can just which services you want to have activated. This is done trough installation and its easy to intuitive. You just have to check if you want that he scans mail, internet, local disks etc.
These services are always active in the background and they can sometimes slow down your computer. For example I managed to speed up copying of files when I disabled hard disk checking. This is not advisable to do if you are not sure that infection will not come from that source.
Whole application low cpu and memory consumption so and the whole application is fast and working very good. Scanning options are adjustable so you can choose between fast and slower but more detailed scanning.
So thumb up for Nod.
