I have Intel CPU on my computer. I am considering upgrade of my processor. I want my computer to be faster, because I am hard core gamer and new games always ask for more and more processor speed. I want to know if I buy new processor which is 300 MHz faster then this one; will I gain enough performance boost to justify purchase?

I think that you will waste your money, because this processor which you attend to buy is to expensive for its performances. I mean, if you buy it, you will not get any visible improvement. You will not be able to play some games (like you are not able now) and you will spend a lot of money. So, I suggest you to wait few months and buy new generation processor.
