That's basically all that happens, summarized. In more detail, the system is Windows XP Pro, the problematic second hard drive is a 120 GB Maxtor, and the existing hard drive is a Hitachi. I think I have everything set up correctly, the jumpers and all, but XP crashes about half an hour after startup.

I don't get it, is the new disk the one with the OS installation, or not? Are they both recognized correctly by the system? How are they formatted, NTFS I presume?
