I have decided to use Linux as my only operative system. I have cable net and static IP, I have, also, decided to build web server. Have you any advice which server is the best? I heard some good stuff for Apache, but need your opinion. Is Apache the best web server on the net?

I cant say that Apache is the best, but I preferre it. It can work on variety of platforms (including linux), its not hard to configurate it and use it. Also is very stable. You can easily find detailed tutorials how to install it. Just to inform you that Apache web server is the most used in the world.
