| First thing you should try is to unplug your PC for a minute or two, then plug it, and turn it on. If that won't help, check the position of your new memory in its slot. It must be firmly situated. If nothing of that works, then take your new memory out of your PC. If it starts normally after that then you bought a wrong type of memory for your PC. If that is so, then you should bring that memory to the store you bought it together with your old memory, and ask them to replace it according to your old memory. If your machine is not working after you pull out new memory chip then your new memory chip is probably damaged and you should replace it in the store where you bought it. |
