I have got a SATA hard disk from my father. I asked him why he didnt buy me motherboard which supports SATA. He looked at me confusedly, also, told that he didnt know that, that these days he is not in possibility to buy me new mother board, etc I think about possibility of putting SATA to my system that only supports PATA

Do not think but do! I am sure that you are wondering now how that can be possible. Well, I will tell you. All that you need is converter which you will plug into the back of your Sata hard disk. This will convert it into an ide hard drive. You can search the internet for buying this converter (it doesnt cost too much) or ask somebody where you can buy it.
